As a prospective member of the CHS Beta Club, it is required that you read these Bylaws .  By paying your dues, you agree that you have read and will abide by these club bylaws: By your paying your dues, your parent has also read and agreed to them.

This chapter of the Beta Club will meet at least once per month and more as needed to plan club activities.  The meeting day is the first Wednesday of the month.  Attendance is required.

The membership will be drawn from grades 11-12.

An initial annual National and local membership fee of $20.00 is required of all new Junior members;  initial Senior members will pay $27.00 which will include the  graduation cord.  Returning members will pay the local  membership dues plus the graduation cord fee for a total of $12.00. Should the member and club separate, no refund for the cord will be issued. Membership is transferable to another school.

The Beta Club membership will be drawn from class rankings that show students with a weighted 4.25 or greater GPA.  GPA figures are not rounded up. Additionally, members from the previous scholastic year will be invited to continue their membership provided they have met all the other criteria.

The elected officers are president, president-elect, and secretary. Monthly participation in a Beta Club sponsored community service is required.  Due dates are set.  Should you choose NOT to participate in the school sponsored project, you may venture on your own to get community service.  You should get a sponsor of the activity (not an immediate family member, nor any other CHS faculty member or club) to write and sign a letter of verification of service. Since our motto is, “Let us lead by serving others,” students are encouraged to seek his or her own community service  opportunities. Start your own community service!

Members must maintain an overall weighted 4.00 grade point average. There is NO grade check each six weeks.  Grades are checked only at the semester. For an online class, or another class administered at another school, the student must have an 85 final average.

Members must exhibit exemplary and excellent conduct at all times.  Be on your best behavior.
